Apple has finally announced the much-awaited rugged Apple Watch. And a reputed Chinese database, which has previously unveiled the battery capacity of the iPhone 14, claims the Apple Watch Ultra will come with a 76% bigger battery size.
According to their data, the rugged Apple Watch, which has a 49mm case, houses a 76 percent larger cell than the one in the 45mm version of the Apple Watch Series 8 and a 92 percent larger cell than that in the 41mm version.
It also shows that the 45mm version of the series 8 has the same battery size as the one in Apple Watch Series 7.
The battery capacities depicted are as follows:
- 49mm Apple Watch Ultra: 542 mAh
- 45mm Apple Watch Series 8: 308 mAh
- 41mm Apple Watch Series 8: 282 mAh
- 40mm Apple Watch SE: 245 mAh
- 44mm Apple Watch SE: 296 mAh
- 41mm Apple Watch Series 7: 284 mAh
- 45mm Apple Watch Series 7: 308 mAh
Apple Watch Ultra claims to double the battery timing of the Apple Watch Series 8 from 18 hours to 36 hours. Or 60 hours in a special low-power setting mode, which disables auto-starting workouts, heart health notifications, always-on display and other less essential features.
Do note that using the LTE cellular service on the Apple Watch Ultra instead of your iPhone cuts down the battery to 18 hours. The average battery life of the previous Apple Watches.
If you have always wanted an Apple Watch that lasts longer, then the Apple Watch Ultra is your go-to.
