This Week’s Top Stories on Apple

iPhone 15 Pro Rumors, iOS 17 Beta 4, Vision Pro Developer Kit

This week’s top stories revolve around the much-anticipated iPhone 15 Pro, the latest iOS 17 Beta 4, and the Vision Pro Developer Kit.

The iPhone 15 Pro is rumored to feature a titanium alloy frame for increased durability and lighter weight. The device may also include an action button similar to the Apple Watch.

According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, only the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will be equipped with the A17 Bionic chip.

The iPhone 15 Pro models are expected to have thinner bezels compared to their predecessors, the iPhone 14 Pro models. The display will remain flat despite the slimmer, curved edges, a design that mirrors the Apple Watch Series 7 and Series 8.

The iPhone 15 Pro models are also expected to come in a mint green colorway this fall.

In terms of software, Apple has released the fourth beta of the upcoming iOS 17. This update includes tweaks to the design of the icons, with the Camera icon changing from a shutter button to a traditional camera glyph, and the Photos icon no longer displaying the most recent picture taken.

Apple is also making waves with its Vision Pro Developer Kit. The Vision Pro features visionOS, the world’s first spatial operating system, which allows users to interact with digital content in their physical space using their eyes, hands, and voice.

VisionKit, a part of the Vision Pro, analyzes pixel information and isolates important data such as text of a given language, URLs, street addresses, phone numbers, shipment tracking numbers, flight numbers, dates, times, durations, and barcodes of various formats.

Developers are currently being invited to refine their apps for visionOS and create new ones. The Apple Vision Pro will start at $3,499.

Stay tuned for more updates on these exciting developments in the world of Apple.
